Chris Norton Wheelchair Camp

The CNF Wheelchair camp was Founded by motivational speaker and author Chris Norton, the camp is open to families experiencing all forms of physical disability.
Families get to build friendships with those who have relatable life experiences, challenge themselves to activities that once seemed “impossible”, and enjoy one of the best weeks of their lives. It is a free, weeklong experience where families living with disabilities get to connect, play, and simply belong.

John Izer spent time at the wheelchair camp this year and shared his experience with us.

In my short 7 years working for the Lynch Family Companies, I’ve had the opportunity to work many different events for Lynch BBQ. On Wednesday June 26th, I got to do the Chris Norton Wheelchair Camp with Chad Snyder (GJL Farms). This was by far the most humbling one I’ve done. What Chris does for these kids is the neatest thing I’ve seen at an event. The smiles on the kids face was like no other. They were all so thankful for Lynch BBQ being there. This was the first event that I’ve helped with that my eyes watered a couple times. Going forward, when I think for one second I’m having a bad day, I’ll just think of this event. These kids are my hero’s. Had a great talk with Chris and his wife. I let them know my feelings and they spoke very highly of the Lynch Family Foundation. I would be honored to do this event every year and I think every employee should take a turn to do this event, it will make your day. I am grateful to be a part of such a life impacting event.
