SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a reliable, customer-focused IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. This position is critical in ensuring smooth daily operations by supporting end-users, managing hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, and contributing to project-based initiatives. Ideal candidates are problem-solvers, self-starters, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide end-user support for PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, both onsite and remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform basic LAN/WAN administration and assist with network support.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
- Support the setup and relocation of IT infrastructure for office moves or expansions.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and IT assets.
- Document technical procedures, common issues, and resolutions.
- Monitor and maintain antivirus protection, print services, and email systems.
- Assist with backup procedures and system updates.
- Provide support for VOIP phones, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Handle confidential data with discretion and follow security best practices.
- Stay up to date with current technology trends and IT tools.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in an IT support role.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
- Active Directory management and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 administration - Hands-on experience with servers and workstations (hardware diagnostics, upgrades).
- Familiarity with networked printing/scanning and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software like AgVision or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and QuickBooks is a plus.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to ~50 lbs).
• Some travel between company sites may be required.
• Overtime, weekends, or holiday work may occasionally be necessary.
• Refer to the Essential and Marginal Function Analysis for additional physical requirements.
