Assistant Station Manager

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the proper handling of livestock that includes: sorting, counting, weighing, and tattooing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory of livestock
- Sorting
- Loading/unloading
- Supervise and coordinate yard personnel
- Hauling livestock
- Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned
- Fills in for Station Manager when needed
- Administrative responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under company guidelines
- May be required to obtain a CDL
- Maintain certification and follow all TQA Guidelines in the Humane Handling of Livestock
- General Maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipment
- Alleyways, pens, and chutes
- Vehicles and skid steers
- Mowing and weeding
- Work well with livestock customers and plant personnel
